Dr. Christian Garbe, born in 1965 in Hameln, has several years of experience in the industrial and finance sectors. At Novartis, in Basel, Dr. Garbe assessed the potential of biotechnology for product development. For DZ BANK AG, Dr. Garbe analyzed pharma and biotech companies and successfully managed the BiotechSTARS certificate. Dr. Garbe focuses on business models which promise success for the accompanying products, technologies, and their long term financing. Since 2002 Dr. Garbe has been the managing director of FIZ Frankfurt Biotechnology Innovation Center.
Dr. Helmut Menhart

Dr. Helmut Menhart studied applied business management, focusing on controlling and investment banking. In 1998, he was awarded the Oberbank Prize for economics in Linz. After working at the Schweizerischer Bankverein, Privatbank Gutmann, CA Investmentbank, and a research period at the London School of Economics, he worked in investment banking at DZ BANK AG in Frankfurt am Main for three years. Since 2003 Dr. Menhart has built-up the operational business of FIZ Frankfurt Biotechnology Innovation Center. His specialized areas are finance and strategy.
